One year since Israeli settlers murdered Sayfollah, and justice has yet to be served. Dear Supporter, One year ago, a mob of violent, illegal Israeli settlers murdered 20-year-old Palestinian American Sayfollah βSaifβ Musallet on his familyβs land in Sinjil β a Palestinian village located in the occupied West Bank. Sayfollah was a resident of Tampa Bay, Florida, where he helped run a family-owned ice cream shop that proudly served the community. Like many Palestinian-Americans living in exile, Sayfollah simply wanted to go back home and reconnect with his land. His murder serves as a morbid reminder of the dangers Israeli settlers and occupation forces impose on Palestinians, American or not. One year later, Sayfollah's family is still waiting for justice. Sayfollah is one of 14 American citizens killed by violent, illegal Israeli settlers or Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) since 2003. Even before Sayfollahβs brutal murder, the Musallet family had already endured severe repression at the hands of the Israeli government. Just three months before Sayfollahβs murder, his cousin, Mohammad Ibrahim, also an American citizen, was infamously detained by the IOF for nine months in Israeli detention. It was your pressure on Congress that helped secure Mohammadβs release. We must do the same for the Musallet family. TAKE ACTION: CALL ON CONGRESS TO DEMAND JUSTICE FOR SAYFOLLAH MUSALLET Despite repeated calls for accountability by the Musallet family, the United States has refused to hold Israel accountable for murdering an American citizen. Unless this pattern changes, the U.S. will continue to manufacture consent for Israeli forces and settlers to target Americans in the occupied West Bank. Today, we honor Sayfollahβs memory by renewing calls for accountability against the Israeli government for fostering a culture of impunity within its criminal settlement enterprise, which led to Sayfollahβs murder. Sayfollahβs murder underscores a disturbing rise in settler violence against Palestinian civilians. In 2026 alone, there have been over 1,000 documented instances of settler violence against Palestinian civilians. There are now over 118 settler outposts that control nearly 18% of the occupied West Bank as the criminal Israeli regime continues to steal more Palestinian land. The most disturbing part of all? It is our tax dollars subsidizing the oppression of Palestinians. The U.S.βs unwillingness to hold Israel accountable for its crimes has emboldened this criminal regime to continue murdering and ethnically cleansing Palestinians with impunity. AMP stands by the Musallets and other American families who have been victimized by violent Israeli settlers. Take action now and let your representatives know you demand justice for Sayfollah and an end to unwavering U.S. support for Israel. In solidarity, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) |
